Extended TV Spot for Shazam! Released

DC and Warner Bros. have released an "extended" TV Spot for 2019's Shazam movie and if you were hoping for new footage, you'll be very disappointed. The spot ends up being a shortened version of the trailer released during SDCC 2018, having all of the good parts and skipping the "filler." It might not feature any new footage but it's still a decent enough watch.

Pretty much everything people liked from the first trailer is in this TV Spot, from the hero saying "I'm a superhero" after beating up some thugs to Sivana showing us just how powerful he is by stopping Shazam's punch. At one minute, this is an okay watch and should entertain those that missed the trailer or forgot about it.

With Shazam being a long ways away, there's a good chance that we will get a couple of new trailers before the movie hits theaters. As long as they don't pull an Amazing Spider-Man 2 and release too many trailers, essentially spoiling the movie, then they will be fine.

Also, they need to avoid putting the climax in the trailers like Batman V Superman did. The first trailer did give us the gist of the film's plot, which is good, so the next few trailers should try to be similar.

Shazam will hit theaters on April 5, 2019. Expect a few more trailers as the film nears.
