Batwoman's latest Season 2 episode made a shocking revelation about the status of Kate Kane and pretty much confirmed that she's set to make her triumphant return to the CW Batman spin-off series. However, actress Ruby Rose won't be reprising her role as Kate Kane and instead, she's been officially replaced by Krypton star Wallis Day who took to social media last night to confirm the news about her casting.

The original Kate Kane actress, who shockingly left the show in early 2020 has addressed her exit in previous interviews but refused to talk about the real reason behind her departure from the series. Now, a day following Wallis' casting, Ruby took to social media to congratulate Gotham's new Batwoman.

Responding to a fan's Batwoman tribute to her on Instagram (via Deadline), Rose said she feels sorry for not being able to congratulate Day on her casting while revealing that she actually knew about Kate Kane's return in the series. She wrote: "I'm sorry I didn't congratulate @wallisday yesterday. I knew about the casting beforehand and didn't know when it aired so I forgot to. I'm seeing all the things I'm tagged in with people sad or wondering how I felt. I feel great. I have nothing but good vibes."

Hopefully, the addition of Wallis to the mix helps turn things around for the show because quite frankly, it has been pretty underwhelming so far which is a true shame considering fans were actually hyped up for it when Ruby Rose made her official debut as Batwoman in the Arrowverse crossover event Elseworlds back in 2018. She showed a tremendous amount of promise but of course, things took a different turn following her exit.

The latest episode of Batwoman Season 2 is now streaming on CW.
