So what movies and TV shows have Disney confirmed to be on the horizon? To be honest, it's a lot to keep up with, but don't worry - we've kept things simple and broken it all down for you. There's 'Star Wars', Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic, sequels, prequels, reboots and so much more.

But where to start? Well, it's best we address to elephant in the room first, and to no surprise, we're talking about Marvel, which has so many new shows coming up (perhaps a little too much!). Disney has announced all the following, all of which are TV shows, some animated and some live-action.

Marvel

A huge number of Marvel shows have been confirmed, which is a mixture of animated shows and live-action shows, all of which are set to make the 'MCU' even bigger than it already is (is that even possible, though?). Animated shows include: 'X-Men '97', 'Marvel Zombies', 'Spider-Man: Freshman Year', 'I Am Groot', 'What If..?' Season 2.

But that's not all - live-action shows include: 'Secret Invasion', 'She-Hulk', 'Agatha: House of Harkness' (a spin-off to 'WandaVision'), 'Iron Heart', 'Echo' (a spin-off to the upcoming 'Hawkeye'), 'Ms. Marvel' and 'Moon Knight'. It looks like the live-action show side of the 'MCU' will soon catch up with the movies in terms of numbers.

While most of the new announcements are marked as 'coming soon' (2022 and beyond), you can stream some new Marvel content now - check out making-of documentaries 'Marvel: Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi' and 'Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye' in the meantime.

Star Wars

The 'Star Wars' side of things might not be quite as eventful as Marvel, but there is a first-look teaser of upcoming live-action show 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', which you can view on Disney+ now. Actor Ewan McGregor teases another duel with Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen), a fight that producer Kathleen Kennedy previously dubbed "the rematch of the century".

You can now also stream a new 'Star Wars' documentary - 'Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett' will whet your appetite for the upcoming live-action show 'The Book of Boba Fett', which starts streaming on December 29. While there's no release date for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', now that we have a teaser-of-sorts, it's reasonable to assume that it will follow the Boba Fett spin-off.

There's also no word on other upcoming live-action 'Star Wars' shows 'Ahsoka' and 'Andor', however, there's plenty of 'Star Wars' on Disney+ to keep you entertained in the meantime - all 12 movies and a ton of shows including 'The Clone Wars' and 'The Mandalorian'.

Live-action Movies

Moving onto things a lot less Disney, the fifth 'Predator' movie was also confirmed to be releasing next year, and has even been given its official title, 'Prey'. The movie will be available to stream on Hulu in 2022, however, it will likely follow on STAR via Disney+ sometime after. This is one of the first of many IPs acquired through the FOX acquisition that Disney intends to push forward, although there's no doubt the film will be released under the FOX banner.

There will also be a 'Cheaper by the Dozen' reboot, 'Enchanted' sequel 'Disenchanted', the long-awaited 'Hocus Pocus 2', a live-action 'Pinocchio' and tale-with-a-twist 'Sneakerella'. There are a lot more live-action movies announced, and they will likely trickle onto the streaming service over the next few months and years. For now, check out 'Home Sweet Home Alone' (even if it's only to make you appreciate the original two movies a lot more!).

Pixar

Upcoming Pixar shows and movies include 'Zootopia+', 'Cars on the Road' and 'Baymax', all of which are based on the hit Pixar movies, 'Zootopia', 'Cars' and 'Big Hero Six'. While not quite Pixar, there's also a new 'Ice Age' sequel - 'Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild'.
