There is little doubt that fans are already looking forward to Eva Green joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The former Penny Dreadful actress has been one of those stars whose name keeps coming up when fan-casting certain characters who could show up in the MCU. But is it true that Green will be playing the gender-swapped version of Nightmare in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
Green was recently asked by Total Film magazine if Marvel Studios has contacted her about appearing in the highly anticipated Doctor Strange 2 (via GamesRadar). Needless to say, the 300: Rise of an Empire star had a straightforward response.
"Me? No! Not that I know of. Not at all," Green said.
She might not be a part of the MCU just yet but Green admitted that she is a fan of the Marvel movies. "I like the humour in them," she stated. In addition to that, she is already looking forward to the next MCU flick that is scheduled for release in the next few months.
"I saw the trailer for Black Widow... I'd like to see that one," Green said.
For now, we'll have to wait until Marvel Studios approaches Green with an offer. After all, Doctor Strange 2 is still in its early stages so there's still a chance that Green will get an offer soon.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will bring back Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Elizabeth Olsen is also set to reprise her role as Scarlet Witch. The sequel is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021.
