- Quick Answer: Oscar nominee Sandra Hüller is rumored to join Avengers: Doomsday as a Latverian witch, following a reveal in a British stunt double portfolio.
Project Hail Mary star Sandra Hüller has reportedly been cast for a secret role in Avengers: Doomsday.
While there are already many confirmed cast members for the upcoming MCU film, there are still names in the ensemble that are being kept under wraps, and fans have been speculating which returning or new actors are likely part of Doomsday. Now, an award-winning actress is rumored to have a significant role.
Is Sandra Hüller Joining the Cast of Avengers: Doomsday?
A new rumor suggests Anatomy of a Fall and Project Hail Mary star Sandra Hüller has been cast in Avengers: Doomsday.
It stemmed from a page on British Stunt Performer, which serves as a portfolio for stunt performers who are based in the UK. Stunt actress Stevie Parker claimed that she served as a stunt double for Huller in the MCU film.
Actresses Katya Hazel Boirand and Josie Pocock were also listed as the performers for whom Parker served as a stunt double.
A comment from Reddit three months ago from a mysterious account has also resurfaced online, claiming the Oscar-nominated actress will be playing one of the Latverian witches.
So far, neither Marvel Studios nor Huller's representative has confirmed the rumor, so you should still take this with a grain of salt.
If it ends up being true, it's a great coup for Marvel, given that Huller is one of the most celebrated international actresses today and they somehow managed to recruit her for a seemingly significant role. Hopefully, the alleged Latverian witch character will be juicy enough character that will showcase her talent.
For now, stay tuned for any potential confirmation in the coming months leading up to its release.
