Eternals Star Responds to Starfox Spinoff Project Rumor: "That Would Be Amazing"

One of the highlights of Eternals is the introduction of Eros/Starfox in the mid-credits scene played by none other than Harry Styles. His appearance is an indication that the character will have a bigger presence in the MCU moving forward and there have been rumors that Marvel Studios is working on a spinoff project centering on him. Now, one of the stars of the film has chimed in on the rumor.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Patton Oswalt, who voiced Pip the Troll in Eternals, was asked about his thought on the rumor that Marvel is working on a Starfox project. While he said that he is not aware of the rumor, he did express his interest in seeing the project come to fruition.

"I have not heard those rumors," Oswalt said. "That would be amazing if it [the sequel was about Starfox and Pip], because it just seems to me that every time Marvel has rolled the dice on these kind of B or C-level characters that everyone's like, 'Oh, who cares about them?' That's where they end up kind of really blossoming."

He continued, "There's Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't know if you've seen the new Ms. Marvel show, but it is just an absolute delight. I mean, it's such a great... And also, I'm a huge fan of both the Ant-Man movies. I think those are fantastic and very, very underrated in terms of a Marvel and capturing the spirit of those times. So if they did a movie about Starfox and Pip, that would be... Those would be dice I'd like to roll. Why not?"

It sounds like Oswalt is game for a Starfox solo project and ready to voice Pip again if it's ever going to happen. There is no doubt that a lot of fans would be interested in the project and find out what Starfox is up to next in the MCU after he was introduced in the mid-credits scene. Either way, the prospect of it possibly happening is exciting enough and let's just wait and see whether the rumor will be confirmed by Marvel soon.
