Emilia Clarke Wants Game of Thrones to #FreeTheP (Penis)

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has been outspoken about nudity and portrayal of women in the hit HBO series for quite some time now. She recently defended the show from critics who claimed that it has been anti-feminist in its depiction of women.

However, in an interview with James Corden on Monday, the 29-year-old English actress revealed one inequality issue that she has with the show. According to the Me Before You star, there’s inequality with the show when it comes to nudity.

Clarke elaborated her concern to Corden, saying:

I feel like there’s a little bit of inequality that happens with women, this woman in particular, and what happens with the other guys. I think it should be even.

Corden responded and said penises are “kind of gross,” but Clarke interjected and said that the female genitalia is equally not a pretty sight.

The funny banter continued and Abbi Jacobson, who was sitting beside Clarke, had to tell Corden and Clarke to see eye to eye.

In the end, Corden gave in and even agreed to hashtag the cause with #FreeTheP.

It’s not the first time that Clarke had been candid about the male genitalia. Earlier this month, she described Jason Momoa’s penis as “fabulous.” The actor played Daenerys Targaryen’s (Clarke) husband Khal Drogo in the show’s first and second seasons.

Looking back at past seasons of the Emmy Award-winning series, the actress looks right. While nude women have been a common sight in Game of Thrones, there haven’t been much nude men in it.

Fortunately, there’s possibly one more season left for Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff to support the cause.
