Elizabeth Olsen Spoiled Wanda's Doctor Strange 2 Story Arc 7 Years Ago

There is little doubt that Wanda Maximoff has the most tragic story arc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it all reached a stunning climax in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Interestingly, the woman who plays Scarlet Witch may have already spoiled the character's future a long time ago. It has just been discovered that Elizabeth Olsen somehow spoiled Wanda's fate in Doctor Strange 2 during a press tour that happened 7 years ago!

In Doctor Strange 2, it is revealed that Wanda has been trying to find her two sons who disappeared with the destruction of the Westview Hex and she discovers that there are variants of the boys in Earth-838. She then decides to go after America Chavez to take her girl's universe-hopping powers to be reunited with Billy and Tommy Maximoff.

Fans already had an idea that this would happen considering what happened in WandaVision. However, it looks like Elizabeth Olsen already had an idea about Wanda's future when she was still promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron back in 2015.

In a 2015 interview with Age of Ultron co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen teased Wanda's future by making a reference to the character's House of M comic book storyline.

"I mean, if she could have two fake babies, and everyone tell her they don't really exist, and then her just go nuts, that would be unbelievable," Olsen said.

We already knew that Olsen had wanted to adapt the House of M storyline so it's no surprise that she would reference the comic story arc. Still, it's awesome to know that her wish for Wanda's MCU story arc would eventually become reality.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Xochitl Gomez, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The film is still screening in theaters worldwide.
