Elizabeth Olsen Shares Promising Update About Her Scarlet Witch Solo Film

While the MCU constantly expands with new additions like Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight and Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, of course, the franchise's newest veterans are also stepping up like Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

Although the Doctor Strange sequel highlighted a shocking character twist with Olsen's Wanda as she develops into the menacing Scarlet Witch, it's undeniably clear that she won't stay on that path for too long, and she will return to the good-natured heroine the fans have loved.

Although Multiverse of Madness concluded with the Scarlet Witch facing an unfortunate fate, recent reports claim that a Scarlet Witch solo film is still being developed. More amazingly, Olsen is also rumored to return in WandaVision Spinoff Agatha: House of Harkness.

Thankfully, in a recent interview with Good Morning America, Olsen was questioned regarding her rumored Scarlet Witch solo film, as well as her inclusion in the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha: House of Harkness. "I would love to be a part of both of those," Olsen responded. "No one tells me anything, and I'm not even hiding a secret because I'm bad at that. I know nothing about my future."

Although Olsen seemingly played coy about her solo Scarlet Witch film and her inclusion in Kathryn Hahn's WandaVision spinoff Agatha: House of Harkness, we can't really blame her. She is bound to disprove all rumored appearances until Marvel Studios tells her to. However, recent reports claim that Olsen signed a 7-year extension contract with Marvel Studios, which includes a Scarlet Witch solo film. With that said, this plainly means that we'll still see Olsen's Scarlet Witch in the MCU for an extended run.

Aside from that, Marvel producer Richie Palmer recently titled Elizabeth Olsen as the MCU's Jewel of the Crown, which means the character would still be extremely substantial in the next MCU Phases. Although Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ended with the Scarlet Witch sacrificing herself to destroy the Darkhold, Olsen's recent statement serves as another assurance that the Scarlet Witch is alive and we will still see her in the future of the mega-franchise.

Elizabeth Olsen's recent outing as the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now available to stream on Disney+.
