Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff is undoubtedly one of the key players of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga but much to the chagrin of fans, the character was seemingly written off following her villainous onslaught in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Of course, many are theorizing that Wanda didn't really die during the film's closing moments and even Kevin Feige himself has teased the idea of Scarlet Witch being brought back for future projects. Should that happen though, the actress only has one thing in mind for the Harbinger of Chaos' comeback.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Olsen shared her thoughts on the possibility of Wanda coming back to the MCU, saying that she believes characters like her are never truly gone. She also expressed her desire to ditch Scarlet Witch's antagonist role and give her a redemption arc.

She explains: "We can do anything with her now! I feel like we’ve done so much. Now, we can really have fun; I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption."

The decision to turn Wanda into a full-blown villain in Multiverse of Madness was deemed questionable by a lot of people, especially considering WandaVision already saw her come to terms with her fate. If you may recall, the finale episode of the series saw Wanda redeem herself after taking all of Westview hostage, freeing its innocent residents from her spell as well as bidding farewell to the family she created through her magic.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is available to stream on Disney+.
