If there's one thing that the Marvel Disney+ shows have been teasing, it's the possibility that we will be seeing the Young Avengers in the future. So can we expect to see the young heroes working together soon? Elizabeth Olsen says it's possible but it's probably not happening right away.
Olsen should have an idea about the Young Avengers' upcoming debut. After all, she was part of WandaVision, where we got to meet the future Wiccan and Speed who were actually Wanda's twin sons Billy and Tommy Maximoff. Interestingly, the Avengers: Endgame star revealed in a Q&A that she has no clue just yet.
"I have no idea. I don't even know if...actually, if you even ask [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige that, I think he'll honestly say he doesn't know," Olsen said. "They really plan phases at a time, and then after those complete, they move onto the next phase."
Although Olsen (or Feige) are not acknowledging it just yet, fans are already hoping to see the Young Avengers in the future. In addition to Wiccan and Speed, we have already seen Eli Bradley aka Patriot in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier as well as Kid Loki in Loki.
But when will we see these characters working together? Olsen pointed out that although it's possible, it's best not to expect too much in the next two years.
"It seems like from my perspective that that could be a possibility, but I don't think they have a real plan for that yet. But they keep all their options open," Olsen said.
For now, we can't get Olsen or Feige to confirm anything just yet. Hopefully, we'll get a solid update on the Young Avengers when Kate Bishop finally debuts in Hawkeye later this year.
Olsen has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie at the 73rd Emmy Awards for her performance in WandaVision. All episodes of the Marvel series are now streaming on Disney+.
