Marvel Confirms Elizabeth Debicki's Return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Yesterday, Marvel Studios finally released the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The preview gave us glimpses at the return of our favorite characters from the previous films as well as new characters such as Will Poulter's Adam Warlock and Chukwudi Iwuji's High Evolutionary, who are both expected to have a major presence.

In addition, Marvel has finally confirmed that Elizabeth Debicki is also returning to reprise her role of Ayesha from the second film in the upcoming installment. The official confirmation of her return to the film was revealed during the credits of the trailer where she is credited as part of the main cast.

Debicki's return in Vol. 3 has always been speculated by fans since her character is behind the introduction of Adam Warlock in one of the post-credits scenes of the second film. There have also been reports prior to production that they were planning to bring her back into the film.

However, the actress' involvement as Princess Diana in the latest season of The Crown got a lot of fans worried that it might have prevented her from working on the film and Marvel never confirmed up to this point that she is part of the cast. Alas, we have assurance now that she was able to film her scenes for the film.

The film's synopsis reads: "Our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."

The cast also includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Sylvester Stallone, Chukwudi Iwuji, Sean Gunn, and Maria Bakalova.
