Netflix's Spanish hit teen drama series Elite is returning sooner that you might expect. Elite Season 5 will be released in a few weeks, and an official release date has finally been confirmed, so keep reading to find out when you can stream the new episodes on the streaming service.
The fourth season of Elite, released in June 2021, left some questions for the fate of a few main characters, and now, fans are wondering about the future of the Las Encinas students. The official social media pages for the show have confirmed that Elite Season 5 will be released on April 8, 2022 on Netflix.
According to TVLine, the new season will pick up right after the tragic events of Phillipe’s New Year’s party. Ari and Samuel will be challenged by the overwhelming secret of Armando’s death while characters like Omar and Rebecca must adapt to new circumstances in their lives.
There are also newcomers for Elite Season 6, including Bilal (played by Adam Nourou), Isadora (Valentina Zenere), and Ivan (Andre Lamoglia). Ivan is the son of a soccer star, while Isadora is a young heiress.
Series co-creator Carlos Montero shared a statement: “Elite is a universe I always want to return to. As a creator and as a spectator. It stimulates me, comforts me, encourages me. And the fifth season has been so great, so alive, that I know I’m going to come back to it more than twice and three times. It’s a feast for the senses. You’re going to enjoy it.”
