The Season 4 finale revealed the mystery behind Ari's incident, as it showed Armando injuring Ari severely. At the New Year's Eve party, Armando approaches Mencia for sexual advances, but Ari and Rebe notice them at the dock, and they help Mencia escape him. Ari, who was drunk, tells Armando that she will expose him in front of her father. Armando injures Ari, whose cries for help are silenced by the erupting fireworks to celebrate the New Year.

Guzman returns to the dock to meet Ari, and he sees that she's injured, then chases Armando in the boathouse. Guzman kills Armando with a flare gun. Rebe and Samu help him throw the dead body into the lake.

Elite Season 5 will likely begin with the aftermath of Armando's death. Ander and Guzman goes to a trip together, so they're away from school. This could open up an opportunity for Samu to work on his relationship with Ari. With Armando gone, Mencia will likely have a more peaceful life, but she might be faced with a new conflict.

Season 4 didn't leave many loose threads, but Season 5 will likely see the story develop the relationships of returning characters while introducing new students. Just like previous seasons, the fifth season will likely begin with a mysterious incident, but at this point, aren't the students tired of cracking mysteries?
