EA Reveals Likely Release Window For Company's Next Star Wars Game

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be coming out in a couple of weeks and fans are pretty excited to see it, though not too excited. It does look like a solid single-player game with a lot of really fun mechanics, even if some of them were directly lifted from titles like Sekiro and Uncharted. While we're waiting for EA's first single-player Star Wars game, the company has already decided to tease their next title for the franchise.

Daniel Ahmad, a senior analyst for Niko Partners, was there during EA's fiscal results for their Q2 2020 call, where they revealed that their next Star Wars game would be coming before the end of April 2022. That's three years away, meaning that it will probably come out on next-gen consoles by that time, which is only natural.

Jedi: Fallen Order might be the first single-player Star Wars game for modern consoles but it also looks to be the last, unless you count the semi-reboot of Lego Star Wars, called Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Still, EA's Star Wars output has been disappointing, to say the least, even with all of their support for Star Wars Battlefront II.

With Jedi: Fallen Order actually delivering an experience that feels like Star Wars and will supposedly be canon, you can see why fans are pumped for this. Hopefully, it lives up to our expectations and has us hoping for more single-player Star Wars games since I wouldn't care for a Star Wars Battlefront III.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be coming out on November 15 on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
