E3 2017: New Pokemon Game Confirmed in Development For Nintendo Switch

During Nintendo's E3 2017 Treehouse presentation, Pokemon Company president has confirmed that a new Pokemon role-playing game is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.

According to Ishihara, the untitled Pokemon game won't be released for at least a year (or more), but it's good to know that they have big plans to move the franchise over to Nintendo's latest system in the near future.

Last year, we heard rumors that a Pokemon game was being developed for the Switch after the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Eurogamer claimed that there will be a sequel for Sun and Moon that will be released on Switch but the rumor was debunked when Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were announced, and they will be released exclusively for the 3DS.
