Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Thanks Stan Lee In Open Letter

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is officially one of the biggest names in Hollywood, headlining franchises like The Fast and The Furious and much more. Prior to his acting career, he was a charismatic WWE superstar, but no one was sure if he was going to make it to the big leagues at the time. Turns out one man who had faith in The People's Champion was Marvel's own Stan Lee.

On Instagram, Johnson posted a lengthy open letter to the Stan "The Man," about how he welcomed "The Great One" with open arms when he was starting out. It's an interesting reveal since the two never appeared in the same movie together, but it's nice knowing Stan was there for him. Apparently, Lee was always there to give the third-generation superstar some advice and he will always be grateful.

Before ending his open letter, he made sure to point out that he would be Black Adam. Even with the lack of news on this movie, it's good to know that the actor is still thinking about the role. Now that Zachery Levi has been cast as Shazam, one has to imagine that a showdown between the two will be funny and, hopefully, epic.

Shazam is slated for an April 5, 2019, release.
