Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Teases Another Jumanji Movie

Jumanji: The Next Level proved to be a solid outing for this new Sony franchise, showing that not all reboots are bad and giving Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson another star vehicle. While the second film proved to be another enjoyable romp with these characters, Johnson is already hinting at a third film, which wouldn't be surprising, given how this franchise has seemingly taken a life of its own. Kind of like the game these kids play but I digress.

On Instagram, Johnson was detailing how The Next Level was able to get its surprise villain, Rory McCann from Game of Thrones, and then teased how this villain's player might actually show up in a third Jumanji film. While this could just be Rocky teasing us, the fact that this film keeps making money when competing against Star Wars, of all things, shows that Sony might have something special here.

Most of us would be fine with a third (fourth?) Jumanji movie since this little franchise has proven to be a fun distraction if nothing else. Kids seem to like it and adults just like seeing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson doing cool things, even if some of that stuff isn't in a WWE ring. Hopefully, they find another way to keep this video game gimmick fresh, though I wouldn't mind board games making a return.

Seriously, table-top gaming is huge Sony. HUGE.

Jumanji: The Next Level should still be showing in theaters.
