Jumanji: The Next Level Star Jack Black is Retiring from Films

It looks like Jack Black may have plans to retire from the film industry soon.

The comedian just recently revealed his plans to retire from acting during an interview for his latest film, Jumanji: The Next Level. Speaking with Balance to help promote the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the actor, singer, musician and songwriter revealed his intention to step away from the Hollywood industry. According to Black, he wants to spend more time with his family.

Jumanji: The Next Level could very well be Black's last outing, though the actor does say that he's open to one more movie before he finally retires.

"Well, I've got another Tenacious D record that I'd like to make," the 50-year-old actor said when he spoke about his retirement, "Maybe one more movie. I'm kind of enjoying the idea of early retirement. Not so early. I'm 50."

Black went on elaborating about his retirement, saying that it's been a long time coming.

"I've been saying for a long time that this is the last movie. We'll see. I can't really say what my next thing is because it's too early; it's a jinxer. I've got a couple of tricks up my sleeve. But not too many. I'm looking to wrap it up pretty soon. Ride off into the sunset," Black jokes.

According to Black, he wants to retire early so that he can spend more time with his wife and his children. Though the comedian wants to put an end to acting in the films, Black seems open to the idea of working on a television series in Los Angeles as long as he's working nearby his family.

Jumanji: The Next Level, is set to release on December 13.
