Jeffrey Dean Morgan's recent bid to play Lobo in the DC Extended Universe just got an awesome supporter. Dwayne Johnson is eager to see his Rampage co-star as the Last Czarnian.
Morgan recently spoke up about wanting to play Lobo at the recent Walker Stalker Con during the An Evening with Norman & Jeffrey special. The star of The Walking Dead stated that the character was the only one he wants to play because "he's badass." Not surprisingly, Johnson found out about the news and immediately tweeted his opinion about the matter.
It's great to see that Johnson wants to see his Rampage co-star get another role in the DCEU. Johnson has already been cast as Black Adam so it would be cool to imagine Shazam's archenemy hanging out with fellow antihero Lobo. However, Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed any plans to work on a Lobo movie so we'll need to wait and see if they consider this idea.
Johnson was initially expected to debut as Black Adam in the upcoming DCEU film Shazam! but the Moana actor revealed he will not appear in the movie. The supervillain is expected to star in his own feature film that will be released in the next two years. In the meantime, Johnson is working with Emily Blunt on Jungle Cruise, which is slated for release in October 2019.
Morgan is set to return as Negan in The Walking Dead Season 9, which airs on AMC on October 7. Black Adam does not have a premiere date just yet.
