Many movies today (especially Marvel and DC films) have post-credits scenes that often set up the movie franchise’s future or give hints to fans of a possible sequel. While Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves isn’t a superhero movie, fans would like to know if a post-credits scene sets up the franchise’s future. So, is there a post-credits scene in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves?

The answer is no, there is no post-credits scene. Unlike Marvel and DC films, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves only has a mid-credits scene. But you’ll want to stay for half the credits. It does not hint at a possible sequel, but it does give you one last laugh.

The mid-credits scene involves a reanimated corpse, Ven Salafin, who cannot rest back in peace until another person asks him one more question. It’s an unimportant scene, but it does add to the comedic touch of the movie.

Throughout the group’s mission, Edgin, Holga, Simon, and Doric journey to the Evermoors Cemetery to obtain information on the Helm of Disjunction. This helmet is their key to breaking the enchantment on Forge’s vault.

The Helm of Disjunction was last seen during the Battle of the Evermoors, which involved the Elk Tribe. Hence, the people most likely to give them the information they need are the fallen Elk Tribe warriors.

Using his magical abilities, Simon reanimates dead Elk Tribe members temporarily, so that the group could ask questions to some of them regarding the last whereabouts of the helmet. However, Simon’s reanimation token only allows the dead to answer five questions. After that, they could no longer be reanimated again. But to return to the dead, they should answer exactly five questions.

The last person they asked was Ven Salafin, who was the last Elk Tribe member to possess the Helm of Disjunction. After finding out that the helmet was given to a Thayan and renowned Paladin named Xenk, the group decides to leave without finishing off the required five questions.

The mid-credits scene shows Ven, still a reanimated corpse, waiting for someone to ask him a question so that he could finally rest peacefully again.
