Dune: Part Two Casts No Time to Die Star Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot

With the huge success of the first film last year as well as dominating the recent Academy Awards, there's a lot of anticipation right now for Dune: Part Two. Given that it's going to cover the second half of the novel, there are new characters that are expected to introduce in the film. Now, it looks like the much-awaited sequel has added another talent to its ensemble.

According to Deadline, No Time to Die star Lea Seydoux has joined the cast of Dune: Part Two. She will play Lady Margot, a long-standing servant of the Sisterhood. She is joining fellow new cast members such as Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen), and Christopher Walken (The Emperor).

Returning cast members include Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgard, and Dave Bautista. Denis Villeneuve will also return to direct, produce, and co-write with Jon Spaihts as well as composer Hans Zimmer. Production is set to commence this fall.

Seydoux is known for playing Madeleine Swann in the James Bond films Spectre and No Time to Die. She also starred in other films such as Inglourious Basterds, Robin Hood, Midnight in Paris, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Blue is the Warmest Colour, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Lobster, The French Dispatch, and Crimes of the Future.

It is exciting to hear that Seydoux has joined the cast since she is a talented actress and Lady Margot is certainly a suitable role for her. She is also yet again another talent that has been added to an already-large ensemble of great actors in the cast. It's curious to see what the film's take on Lady Margot will look like, especially since it will be the first time that the character appears on the big screen after being omitted from the 1984 adaptation.
