Dune Merch Gives Great Look at Thor Actor Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen

While Denis Villenueve's Dune looked like it had a safe release date in December, the state of the pandemic has forced the film to be pushed back in 2021. Besides a trailer, some merchandise from the film have been coming out, and a new figure for the film gives us a great look at Stellan Skarsgard's Baron Harkonnen.

While the teaser does give us a look at the Baron covered in mist, this one has an image where we can see Skargard's face. The official description on the box also reads:

Evil personified, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen is an all-consuming force of malevolence, determined to feed his addiction to brutality.

Other figures in the wave also include the lead Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa), and Stilgar (Javier Bardem). Collect them all, and you can complete Rabban who is played by Dave Bautista.

With Hasbro setting a standard for actor likeness when it comes to figures, McFarlane Toys admittedly has a lot more work to do on their toylines. Then again, they do have figures for other franchises like Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and now Dune. Hopefully they manage to improve down the line so they can give Hasbro a run for their money when it comes to affordable movie figures.

Feature adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction novel, about the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.

For now, Dune sits on a release date on Oct. 1, 2021.
