In case you missed it, Marvel Studios has found its Moon Knight in Oscar Isaac. However, Marc Spector isn't exactly the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor's first Marvel role. After all, Isaac has already played a very important character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Fans were recently delighted when it was confirmed that Isaac would take on the lead role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Moon Knight that will air on Disney+. This was welcome news considering that Marc Spector is a rather complicated character to play and would require a truly talented actor to take on the role.
Moon Knight might be Isaac's first live-action Marvel role but it's not exactly his first. In Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, the Dune star had a small cameo as Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 in the animated film. Interestingly, that brief cameo actually hinted at Miguel playing a larger role in Spider-Verse 2.
In the post-credits scene, Miguel speaks with his AI, who confirms that the device that will allow him to jump between universes is finally ready. This would mean that Spider-Man 2099 could be the one who can help the other Spider-People to travel safely through the multiverse. With that in mind, Miguel could have a significant role in the sequel.
For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether Isaac will return in Spider-Verse 2. However, there's a good chance this will be announced by next year.
