Dune House Atreides Prequel Comic Releases First Preview Images

Dune is one of the most highly-anticipated movie releases this year, though COVID-19 has made it a bit harder to get invested in movies. With movie theaters opening again, there's a good chance that we'll be able to see some new films later this year, including this intriguing reboot. Before we see this reboot, however, BOOM! Studios are releasing a prequel comic called Dune House Atreides and we finally have our first look at its art style.

After some waiting, SyFy has finally revealed the art team for this Dune prequel comic: Dev Pramanik of Paradiso fame and colorist Alex Guimaraes. Judging by the images below, it looks like they chose wisely since we have some cool character designs and dynamic action scenes. No dialogue has been revealed so anyone hoping for some juicy story details will be a bit disappointed but that's far from the worst thing ever.

This is going to be a 12-part series that talks about House Atreides so it's clear that the story presented here should be in-depth, otherwise it will feel like a bloated waste of time. Since the first issue is coming out this October, it's safe to say that this story's conclusion will be told sometime after the movie comes out in theaters, assuming no delay is made.
