Dune: Dave Bautista Teases Epic Showdown With Jason Momoa in Denis Villeneuve Film

Who's up for a major showdown between Drax and Aquaman? We might be getting the next best thing in the upcoming adaptation of Dune. Dave Bautista has just teased on the possibility that he will take on Jason Momoa in the Denis Villeneuve film.

Bautista recently posted photos of Drax and Aquaman together on his official Twitter account. Take a look at his tweet below.

So does this mean we're in for a huge Guardians of the Galaxy/Aquaman crossover? That's highly unlikely so fans have started speculating on the possibility that Bautista is teasing an epic showdown that will take place in a completely different universe.

Bautista will appear in Dune as Glossu Rabban, the savage nephew of Baron Harkonnen, who is opposed to the House Atreides. In short, he's the bad guy who could serve as an assassin for his uncle. Meanwhile, Momoa has been cast as Duncan Idaho, the swordmaster of House Atreides.

It's not enough that Glossu and Duncan are on opposing sides. The two also have some tense history considering that Glossu killed the young Duncan's parents in front of him. So it's safe to say these two are not going to get along if they cross paths in Dune.

The film will also star Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.

Dune is scheduled for release on December 18, 2020.
