Drew Struzan's New Darth Maul Artwork Teases New Star Wars Project

There is little doubt that Disney and Lucasfilm already have a lot of Star Wars shows in development. But is it possible that there is yet another one? Legendary artist Drew Struzan has just shared a new artwork that could confirm that a Darth Maul series is in the works.

Struzan recently posted new art on his Twitter account. The illustration depicts Maul in his dark cloak with his lightsaber out preparing to fight. Check it out below.

It's just a simple sketch but fans are already talking about what it could possibly mean. There are speculations that Star Wars, which is tagged in Struzan's post, had commissioned the artist to work on a poster for a new Darth Maul series.

There have been previous reports about a possible Darth Maul series being in development. Others believe that the show is actually the Solo: A Star Wars Story spin-off that would focus on the crime syndicates introduced in the film. However, some think it might be an adaptation of the comics Son of Dathomir.

Although there are several theories about what could happen in a Darth Maul series, fans seem to agree that it will star Ray Park. Unfortunately, there is a possibility that the actor will not be brought back for a new project due to his recent controversy.

For now, there is no confirmation whether the artwork is for a new Star Wars project. In addition to that, it's possible that the retired Struzan might just be sketching for his own enjoyment. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
