Dragon Ball Super's Official Character Design For Female Broly Revealed


For those of you who have been waiting to see a powerful female Saiyan in the Dragon Ball franchise, your wish will finally be granted when Dragon Ball Super introduces a new female Saiyan.

The anime's Universal Survival arc is starting to get more interesting, and fans are looking forward to be introduced to the new female character that was shown in the new arc's teaser. Fans were quick to notice the striking resemblance with Broly, the buffed-up Saiyan villain introduced in the old Dragon Ball Z films.

Now, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has revealed the official design for "Female Broly".

The concept art shows the female Saiyan with spiky locks, and it appears that she is in her base form. Check it out:

"Exclusive subject! A female Saiyan arrives!!
A new Saiyan has been confirmed for Dragon Ball Super!! Is she a Saiyan from the 6th or 7th Universe – which is it!? In any case, this time it's clear this character requires our full attention!!

She's supposed to be a Saiyan… however…
If you take a good look at her backside on the character sheet… even though she's a Saiyan, she has no tail!?
A new Saiyan also appears in the opening video!?

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll and Funimation; new episodes air at Saturdays, 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami's Adult Swim will start airing the English dub on Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
