Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is finally coming to Japanese theaters this June, and fans all over the world are hyped to see the return of the shonen anime. The sequel to 2019's Dragon Ball Super: Broly will feature the action-packed story that will see Son Gohan, Piccolo, and other Z-Fighters of Earth battle the New Red Ribbon Army, the evil criminal organization first introduced in the original Dragon Ball series.
Now that we already have an official release date for theaters in Japan, fans all over the world are wondering when Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be released in their regions.
After all, the global box office has come to embrace Japanese anime in a big way, and Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment are eager to cash in on that trend alongside Toei Animation, the Japanese studio behind the upcoming movie. Thankfully, we already have official confirmation about plans for global theatrical release, and fans in North America won't have to wait for long.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero North America release date update
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment already announced their global release plans for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, confirming that the highly-anticipated shonen movie will be released in North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, and the Middle East this summer, starting in August.
However, they haven't announced an exact release date for theaters in North America yet, but we will keep you updated here on Epicstream.com once we get the latest scoop about it, so follow our Anime Rocks My World Facebook page to get notified once we update this information.
On May 12, Sony Pictures India also confirmed that the movie will arrive in theaters in India this summer.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was originally set to release in Japanese theaters in April 2022, but after the Toei Animation hack, it was officially pushed back to June 11, 2022.
