Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Star Shares His Impressions on Piccolo's "Potential Unleashed" Form

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will finally be released in theaters in Japan (and other regions) next month, and Toei Animation has been releasing more information about the highly-anticipated shonen film's story, characters, and animation. The movie will see Son Gohan, Piccolo, and other Z-Fighters battle against the Red Ribbon Army, and Dr. Hedo's new androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

The sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly will also feature Piccolo's new transformation, and now, Toshio Furukawa, the Japanese voice actor for Piccolo, has recently shared his impressions on the strongest Namekian in the universe's "Potentially Unleashed" form.

Anime fans got their first look at Piccolo's new form in the latest trailer for the movie, and it looks like he will unleash this new transformation during his fight against Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. According to Mamoru Miyano, who voiced Gamma 2, previously said that Piccolo will have "great fight scenes" in the movie.

One of the promos for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero also revealed that Piccolo will go in an undercover mission within the headquarters of the Red Ribbon Army, and it looks like he will discover a terrifying secret.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was originally set to release in Japanese theaters April 2022, but due to the Toei Animation hack, the company had to postpone the release date to June 11, 2022. The movie is also expected to release in North America and other regions this summer.
