Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Star Says Piccolo Will Have "Great Fight Scenes"


Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was originally supposed to be released this week but due to the Toei Animation hack, the highly anticipated sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly has been delayed. Thankfully, it's still on track to arrive in theaters worldwide this year, so the hype continues, and shonen fans are excited to see the Son Gohan, Piccolo, and the rest of the Z-Fighters fight the Red Ribbon Army, which includes Dr. Hedo's new androids Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

Now, one of the movie's stars is hyping up Piccolo's role in the movie. The trailers and promos for the shonen film already showed us how Piccolo will play a major role in the movie, and now, we get more confirmation that the strongest Namekian in the universe will become one of the film's key characters.

During an interview with Weekly TV Guide in Japan (Via Herms98), Mamoru Miyano, who voiced Gamma 2 in the movie, talked a lot about Piccolo, and it looks like the character will have a few interactions with Piccolo, and Miyano said it was a dream come true to meet the character's voice actor Toshio Furukawa.

According to the outlet, Miyano revealed that Piccolo ahs some "great fight scenes" in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The 38-year-old actor has been a fan of Akira Toriyama's manga/anime franchise for long, so you know that he probably has high expectations for the movie. Miyano also praised Furukawa for his vocal performance on Piccolo's fight sequences in the movie.

Earlier this month, one of the promos for the movie teased Piccolo's undercover mission at the Red Ribbon Army's headquarters, where he's expected to discover the criminal organization's shocking secret, which many fans are speculating to be the return of Cell.

Toei Animation already announced the new Japanese theatrical release date for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero: June 11, 2022. There's still no word on whether or not the release dates in North America and other regions are affected by this shift.
