New Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Synopsis Teases The Red Ribbon Army's New Objective

In just a few weeks, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will premiere in theaters in Japan, and North America and other regions will soon be able to watch Son Gohan, Piccolo, and the other Z-Fighters battle it out against the Red Ribbon Army, the villainous criminal organization first introduced in the original Dragon Ball series.

Earliert this week, Cruncyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed that starting this August, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be released in theaters in North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, and the Middle East in both its original Japanese audio with English subtitles and with an English dub.

With that news, the companies also shared a new synopsis teasing the New Red Ribbon Army's objective. Could it possibly involve the mysterious villain teased in one of the trailers? Some fans are speculating that Cell will return in this movie because the trailer revealed a chamber that's housing a mysterious entity inside the Red Ribbon Army's headquarters.

The new official synopsis for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero reads:

"The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves 'Super Heroes'. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan... What is the New Red Ribbon Army's objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero"

Crunchyroll also released a new English-subbed trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which you can watch below:
