Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero English Trailer Released by Crunchyroll


Dragon Ball Super anime will finally be returning to the big screens this summer with the release of its next feature film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which will see Son Gohan, Piccolo, and the other Z-Fighters fighting against the newly-resurrected Red Ribbon Army, the villainous organizatinon first introduced back in the original Dragon Ball series.

Today, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment officially confirmed its release date for North America and other regions. While theaters in Japan will start screening the highly-anticipated shonen film on June 11, the film is set to release in North America and other regions starting in August. Now, a new English-subbed trailer has been released to hype fans up!

This is the first official English subtitled trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and although it doesn't reveal any new footages, this is enough to hype up the English-speaking fans who are looking forward to see the new story that takes place after the events of 2018's Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

Beginning this August, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be released in North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, and the Middle East in both its original Japanese audio with English subtitles and with an English dub. However, no concrete release dates have been announced yet.

Crunchyroll released a new official synopsis for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero:

"The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves 'Super Heroes'. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army's objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!"

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was originally set to release in threaters in Japan in April 2022, but due to a third-party hack in Toei Animation's studios, the company had to push back the release date to June 11, 2022. The movie will be released in North America and other regions this summer, starting in August.
