Following the recent Fortnite collab, a Dragon Ball Super and PUBG Mobile crossover event has been announced, and it is set to release sometime next year.

The collab event announcement was made via the official PUBG Mobile Twitter account. There, the new crossover was confirmed along with a 2023 release.

It also features an image of the PUBG Mobile and Dragon Ball Super logos side-by-side which serves as the collab’s first visual.

While the crossover is confirmed, the announcement tweet did not reveal any details. Though the tweet also included a visual from the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie.

This might mean the collab will feature in-game items that are inspired by the latest movie in the franchise.

What’s also interesting is that the crossover is for Dragon Ball Super, similar to the recent Fortnite collab. This means we will probably see the Super versions of Goku, Vegeta, and company when the event goes live.

In case you’re unfamiliar, PUBG Mobile is a free-to-play battle royale for Android and iOS that was released back in 2018. It is a mobile game adaptation of PUBG: Battlegrounds by Krafton.

The original PUBG is arguably the game that started the battle royale trend as it also inspired Epic Games’ Fortnite.

Since then, both the main PUBG game and PUBG Mobile have continued to be among the most popular battle royale titles in the world.

Dragon Ball Super meanwhile is a manga series written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. It serves as a sequel to the original Dragon Ball and is serialized in V Jump.

Since it began back in March 2015, the series has become quite popular. This is thanks not only to the manga but also because of the anime adaptation by Toei, which ran from June 2015 to March 2018.

PUBG Mobile is no stranger to anime collaborations as the game has done crossover events with the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The Dragon Ball collab does not have any details yet, but based on the previous anime crossovers, the event will likely feature character skins based on the series’ characters.

A special Dragon Ball Super-themed game mode will likely be introduced as part of the collab as well.

The Dragon Ball Super x PUBG Mobile crossover will go live sometime in 2023.
