Dragon Ball Super Preview Teases The Anime's Future

Dragon Ball Super is down to its final Universe Survival arc episode, and fans are highly-anticipating to see how the finale will kickstart new storylines that would lead to the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film and its potential series return. The preview for episode 131 doesn't reveal how the Tournament of Power will end or who will emerge as the winner but fans are already dissecting the shots seen in the clip.

Right after Goku's limit-breaking power unleashed a toll on his body and put him back to his base form, Jiren attacked him with a ki blast that broke the ground but thanks to Frieza, he wasn't eliminated in the Tournament of Power. Another surprising twist is the revelation that Android 17 is still alive when we thought that he sacrificed himself to unleash his powerful blow. The preview sees Frieza and Android 17 fighting Jiren, and they're obviously struggling against the Universe 11 warrior. Goku isn't done fighting as well. He's seen in his base form attacking Jiren. The more intriguing shots come near the end, with Zenos are seen against a golden background and the Grand Priest is looking down at the arena with an unreadable expression before he turns back to the winners of the Tournament of Power. Then the reel switches to Beerus and company looking shocked.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon.
