The Dragon Ball Super manga has seemingly concluded the action-packed battle against Gas, and the Granolah the Survivor Arc appears to be approaching its end, but a preview for the next chapter of the popular shonen series by Akira Toriayma and Toyotarou has a shocking surprise. While the conflict against the Heeters may be over, the next chapter might have a new threat that Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah will have to deal with.
Warning: This article contains major spoilers from Dragon Ball Super Chapter 87.
Over on Twitter, outlet DBS Chronicles shared the English-translated version of the new draft pages for Dragon Ball Super Chapter 87, featuring the Heeters trying to escape from Planet Cereal while also revealing a shocking moment in which the old Namekian Monaito has been shot by an energy beam that looks pretty familiar.
This attack certainly looks like the same finger energy beam we've seen Frieza unleash, but it hasn't been confirmed if the iconic villain was actually the one who took Monaito down. Shueisha hasn't confirmed if Chapter 87 will be the final chapter of the Granolah the Survivor Arc, though throwing Frieza into the mix might hint that there could be a greater conflict for the Z-Fighters and Granolah in this arc.
It looks like the energy beam could potentially kill Monaito, and Granolah would probably be enraged if the Namekian who helped him survive the Saiyans' attack would die from it. Of course, it's also possible that the attack is from a new villain we've never seen before or another familiar villain, but we'll have to wait and see to find out.
