Dragon Ball Super: Broly is Coming to A Popular Game

Toei Animation

Dragon Ball Super: Broly will introduce Broly's new look designed by series creator Akira Toriyama and fans are hyped to see the classic non-canon Dragon Ball Z movie villain become a part of the official canon. Now, the new Broly will soon become a part of the Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle game.

Broly will be an enemy character in Dokkan Battle, and he's featured in new character art and he also comes with a tease at his special attack.

As shared on Twitter (now deleted), Broly's description in the game says that he's an "Exiled Saiyan" (as teased in the first trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly). There were also a couple of character portraits of his base form as well as with a Super Saiyan Broly doing the attack in the game. The official Dokkan Battle Twitter account revealed a short clip featuring the villain's attack animation.

It looks like the arctic setting in which Broly fights Goku and Vegeta is the same as the one we've seen in the film's trailer. It looks like the part when Broly will gets a powerful state that lets him charge a ki blast in his mouth and fires it to make a huge hole through the mountain may be teasing what he'll do in the upcoming film. The new Broly will be a part of a special mission and will be released in Japan first but we still don't know when the character will arrive in the game.

Synopsis:

"This is the story of a new Saiyan. Earth is peaceful following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many more strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called 'Broly' who they've never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what's this one doing on Earth? This encounter between the three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix."

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is set to release in Japanese theaters this December, and it's expected to get a U.S. release in January 2019.
