More details about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film have spread online recently but there are still a lot of questions about the film's story. However, thanks to official character bios for the film, we now know the setting of Goku and Vegeta's fight with Broly.

The first Dragon Ball Super: Broly teaser made fans wonder where the frozen tundra terrain is located. The latest Dragon Ball Super movie trailer showed more footage of that setting with Broly. It's easy to assume that it's in another planet or in another universe, but thanks to Broly's character bio, we learned that the film won't be set on an alien planet - the epic battle will be set on Earth!

"Broly (VA: Bin Shimada): One of the few Saiyan survivors. A mysterious Saiyan who Goku and Vegeta have never seen before. His motive for coming to Earth is..."

So it looks like Broly will be landing in the Arctic region of Earth. Of course, this means that Earth will likely be more in danger from Broly's devastating power since he'll be fighting Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza there.

"This is the story of a new Saiyan. Earth is peaceful following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many more strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called 'Broly' who they've never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what's this one doing on Earth? This encounter between the three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix."

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is set to release in Japanese theaters this December, and it's expected to get a U.S. release in January 2019.
