Dragon Ball Super Artist Toyotarou Shares New Video of His Granolah Sketch

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 75 revealed Granolah's new power boost during his battle against Vegeta despite the Saiyan Prince's new Ultra Ego transformation. Apparently, the lone Cerealian survivor can take down Vegeta, showing that he has become what he wished for - The Greatest Warrior in the Universe. Now, Toyoatarou, the mangaka of the Weekly Shonen Jump's printed edition of Dragon Ball Super, has shared a brand new take on the Granolah, and it reminds us of the Cerealian bounty hunter's unique character design.

Toyotarou was recently interviewed to discuss the origins of the latest Dragon Ball Super arc, Granolah the Survivor arc, revealing how Granolah was designed and how he collaborated with series creator Akira Toriyama to create his story and the other new characters such as the Heeters.

Over on Twitter, users DBS Chronicles and DBHype shared Toyotarou's sketch, and a video of how the mangaka draws the intergalactic Cerealian warrior known as Granolah.

Toyotarou said that he had a goal to turn the lone Cerealian survivor into a sniper, and that explains why he is wearing a unique eyepatch known as Oatmeel. The current Dragon Ball Super writer/artist noted that he wanted to give Granolah a steampunk aesthetic with old-fashioned style of clothing to give him the impression of being in both the past and the future.
