Dragon Ball Super Art Features Cell Max in His Perfect Form


Dragon Ball Super has been trending globally lately thanks to the new movie. Although the manga is currently in a short hiatus after the conclusion of the Granolah the Survivor Arc, fans are still talking about the latest film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and of course, one of the most interesting parts of their discussion is the movie's powerful villain, Cell Max. Spoiler Alert: The gigantic villain was ultimately defeated by Son Gohan in his Beast Gohan form, but Cell Max's form was considered incomplete. Now, one new art imagines how Cell Max might look in his perfect body.

Over on Twitter, MrTermiDA shared an unofficial new art that reveals Cell Max in his perfect form. The final act of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero unleashed the villainous android before the Red Ribbon Army and Dr. Hedo were finished processing, so his build was far from complete. But if he'd been allowed to develop further, he could have possibly looked like this:

Cell Max would most likely remind fans of Perfect Cell here, and as you can see, he looks fierce, definitely more menacing than the recently-revealed Black Frieza. The villain's red eyes make Cell Max look more terrifying, and the shades of red and green suit him here.

The official synopsis for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero reads:

"The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves "Super Heroes". They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan... What is the New Red Ribbon Army's objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero."

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is now showing in theaters in the U.S. and other regions. You can read more details about the new movie here. As for the manga series by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou, Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88 will not be released until October 2022.
