All nine episodes of Netflix's Doona! series has been released. A week after the show came out, the production team unveiled some unreleased stills. Could these photos mean there is a Doona! special episode? More importantly, when will Netflix air this special episode?
Even though the show had a bittersweet ending for the couple, fans can't seem to move on. They are still hoping that Doo-na and Won-jun end up together in the end.
So will there be a special episode for Doona!? Here's what we know so far.
What is in the Unreleased Photos of Doona!?
The production team behind Doona! posted a series of photos from the show on Instagram on October 25th.
The post shared a total of four images. The first photo shows Lee Doo-Na (played by Bae Suzy) in a beret and a blue top. She is looking at someone or something with a slightly intense expression on her face.
The second photo in the post is of Lee Won-Jun (played by Yang Se-Jong), who is looking at someone with a wide grin on his face. His photo radiates positivity, which could have only come from seeing Doo-Na.
And then we get to the third photo, which shows the two lovers standing opposite each other in a field with tall pink and orange flowers. The two are wearing the same outfits from the previous posts as they stand at a distance from each other.
Finally, the fourth post shows the major characters in the show as they stand together in front of the beach. Each one is grinning and exuding a radiant aura to them.
Netflix wrote a caption on the post:
“The moments of happiness with friends, the pink flowers, Wonjun's smile, and Doona. We're leaving the undisclosed stills here that leave a deep impression/have a deep impact. The romance that we will go back to watch every fall.”

Will There Be a Special Episode of Doona!?
As fans pointed out, the scenes from these photos were nowhere in the nine episodes that came out on Netflix. This gives avid fans some hope that Netflix will release a special episode wherein the star-crossed lovers finally end up together.
Although nothing has been announced yet, we keep a hopeful eye out for a special episode that will surprise us all. After all, fans still couldn't believe that that was how things ended for the couple.
With the existence of this post, fans can't help but request for a special episode-- one that will give them closure from such a beautiful series.
