It looks like we're going to ponder over the fate of DC Universe a bit more as HBO Max has announced that Doom Patrol Season 2 will premiere on the streaming service. To their credit, they don't bury the other network as they call the show "a DC Universe fan-favorite" but the fact that the show is being boasted for Max says a lot. This should make for interesting tea talk, that's for sure.

Anyway, Doom Patrol Season 2 was officially announced via a press release from WarnerMedia about HBO Max, along with other shows. It's good to see the DC Universe favorite get some love from HBO Max and the fact that they are using this series to lure people into subscribing is pretty awesome. Considering how most people enjoyed the first season, we're sure that they could get some numbers from advertising the series.

DC Universe fans need not worry (yet) as the second season will simultaneously release on both DC Universe and HBO Max. You don't have to unsubscribe from the series just yet so that's good to know. There are plans to extend the life of DC Universe, with Stargirl coming out next week, so here's hoping they keep it alive.

Let's be realistic though, it will probably get eaten by HBO Max and they will get a ton of DC content.

Doom Patrol Season 2 will be coming out on June 25 for both DC Universe and HBO Max.
