Don’t Expect the Star Wars Episode IX Trailer Until April

With no Star Wars movie to look forward to this December, a lot of fans are left to speculate on what could be coming with next year's Star Wars Episode IX. While some may hope for a teaser to be dropped before the year ends, it looks like we'll have to wait for it all the way up to April to get our first look.

This comes from MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad who weighed in on when the teaser could be dropped:

With production still ongoing for the movie, I can imagine the reason we can't get a trailer yet is because of the work needed on the special effects. Even if it's just a teaser, audiences are already expecting even just a little CGI magic to be teased. Just scramble up a bunch of early shots and you have the bland preview for X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Even Aquaman knew it was better to wait for the shots to be ready than to blow their load early just because fans demanded it.

For now, the month of November is heavily speculated to drop the Avengers 4 trailer. It's been debunked that the trailer would be coming this Friday, but there's a still 9 days to go before the month ends. The reason for the speculation is because the Infinity War trailer was dropped on November as well, and it came out in May of the next year. With A4 also scheduled to come out in May, Marvel could just be following their schedule for reveals.

As for Star Wars Episode IX, it's very likely that we'll get our first trailer during Star Wars Celebration. The same happened with the first teaser for The Last Jedi, so it's very possible.
