Lovely Runner Episode 3 Shows Im Sol and Ryu Sun Jae’s First Kiss
Lovely Runner episode 3 captivated viewers with a diabetically-inducing intimate scene between Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok) and Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), in which they shared their first kiss in the series.
The episode begins with Ryu Sun Jae saving Im Sol from an accident. They then had an emotional chat about Sol's experience with her accident and Sun Jae's intention to compete in the swimming tournament.
After all, Sun Jae had planned to express his affection to Sol once he won the gold medal in the tournament.
Fortunately, Sun Jae won the next day without any injuries, so he tried several times to confess his affection to Sol, but his attempts were futile.
As the plot unfolds, Sun Jae injures himself during swimming practice, which means Sol is unable to save him. He then learned that he needed another surgery, which may ruin his swimming career.
Later in the episode, Im Sol was intoxicated before meeting Sun Jae at the school's swimming pool.
There, Sun Jae finally tells Sol that he likes her, giving her a heartfelt kiss in the heat of the moment.
So, Does Im Sol Remember Ryu Sun Jae’s Confession and Their Kiss in Lovely Runner?
Unfortunately, Im Sol cannot recall Sun Jae's confession owing to her drunken state. She may have told Sun Jae that she would always be by his side, but she overlooked the part when Sun Jae bravely expressed his feelings to her.
It's a typical occurrence in Korean dramas, so it's not an unexpected situation, but viewers hope Im Sol remembers it in future episodes.
In addition, Im Sol also failed to listen to the recording from the intimate night she spent with Sun Jae due to Kim Tae Sung’s interruption.
Before the episode ends, Sun Jae's watch stops, and Im Sol finds herself in the year 2023, on the exact day Sun Jae died, indicating that another time slip occurred.
