What is Lovely Runner K-Drama About?
Lovely Runner is a K-Drama that follows Im Sol (played by Kim Hye-Yoon), who is a huge fan of K-Pop idol, Ryu Sun-Jae (played by Byeon Woo-Seok).
Im Sol was once an aspiring film director. But because of a tragic accident, her dreams were shattered. She finds comfort in Sun-Jae's music.
Before becoming an idol, Sun-Jae was a swimmer. Despite his fame, however, he lives an empty and devastating life.
One day, another tragedy takes place when her idol dies in an accident. This devastates her. Following this, she finds herself traveling back in time to 15 years ago.
This is a time before both accidents have happened so she has a chance to avoid it and change their lives.
Aside from concentrating on the theme of time travel, the K-Drama also draws inspiration from friendship, self-discovery, and love.
Is Lovely Runner Based on a Webtoon?
The K-Drama is based on a web novel entitled The Best of Tomorrow, which was written by Kim Bbang. The K-Drama version is directed by Yoon Jong-Ho, who also did Flower of Evil and Times.
Meanwhile, the script of Lovely Runner was written by Lee Si-Eun, who also did True Beauty. This alone already raises the expectations of the audience.
Is Lovely Runner on Netflix? Where to Watch the K-Drama
Lovely Runner was on Monday, April 8, 2024. The show will have a total of 16 episodes, which means a couple of episodes will be released every week.
But is Lovely Runner on Netflix? At the time of its announcement, the only streaming platform where the show is set to come out is Viki and TVing. In Korea, the episodes will be released on tvN.
But hopefully, the larger streaming giants will hear the requests of fans and release the episodes too.
