Allen the Alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) is not just an inspector on the search for great warriors for the Coalition of Planets. Initially, he was born in a Unopan breeding camp that was trained to be able to defeat the Viltrumites.

With that in mind, does this mean he has Viltrumite DNA in his system? The short answer is he doesn't. What Allen has is far more different from the Viltrumites.

Considering that the Viltrumites oppressed and conquered the Unopans, the breeding camp's main goal was to build indestructible soldiers of their own so they could prevent repeating their history — which nearly wiped out the Unopan population.

Although Allen is evidently strong, he isn't exactly strong enough to defeat the Viltrumites.

Allen's race as a Unopan has been taken advantage of this second half of season 2. While he may not be strong enough to defeat Viltrumites, his Unopan blood allows him to gain more strength after getting beaten up.

Not to mention, since Allen came from a special breeding camp program, that means he possesses the strongest Unopian blood streaming in his veins.

In this case, as seen in the first half of Invincible season 2, Allen comes alive despite Thaedus pulling the plug on his life support.

He's more physically buff and definitely a lot more powerful to have escaped the powered-down incubator on his own.

As Thaedus said, "You may now be able to stand your ground against a Viltrumite," offering hope that Allen is "underestimating" his strength and his DNA.

So, here's to seeing more of Allen in action while fighting the Viltrumites alongside Mark Grayson's side.

Invincible season 2 episode 5 titled This Must Come As A Shock is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
