People are still waiting for some updates on Doctor Who Series 12 but it looks like the Time Lord will be making a special announcement really soon. A new teaser may have just revealed that we'll be getting some news about the upcoming Christmas or New Years Day Special.
The teaser was shared on the official Doctor Who Twitter account. Although it doesn't show much, it does invite fans to keep an eye out for updates. Check it out below.
There are speculations that the teaser could be referring to the announcement of the Doctor Who Season 12 premiere date. However, others are also hoping that the news could have something to do with the Christmas Special. Will the same thing happen as last year when the special episode was moved to air during New Years Day? Hopefully, we'll get to see the current Time Lord Jodie Whittaker (and maybe some past Time Lords as well) on an earlier date.
The past season of Doctor Who was truly a confusing one for fans since it was the first time that the Christmas Special had to be moved to a later premiere date. However, some believe that showrunner Chris Chibnall will not repeat the later air date for the special episode. We're not sure if this could be a possible option but we're still crossing our fingers on a Christmas present from Doctor Who this year.
Doctor Who Season 12 has not yet been given an official premiere date. However, the series is expected to return on BBC One by early 2020. Watch out for a special announcement from the show on November 23.
