As the Loki Disney+ series continues to round up its cast, another actress will be joining the show in an undisclosed role.

According to Deadline, The Morning Show star Gugu Mbatha-Raw was cast by Marvel to play a prominent character in the series. Although her character is kept under wraps, she is said to play the part of a female lead.

Mbatha-Raw is joining quite a small ensemble as of late. The only confirmed actors to appear on the show aside from Tom Hiddleston is Sophia DiMartino as well as Owen Wilson. The studio is yet to respond or comment about the report to the outlet.

Aside from The Morning Show, Mbatha-Raw played the role of Tish Jones in the third season of Doctor Who. She also starred in A Wrinkle in Time as Dr. Kate Murray as well as in the live-action Beauty and the Beast as Plumette. Her past credits also include Black Mirror, Fast Color, The Cloverfield Paradox, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and more.

For now, plot details about Loki are yet to be released but producer Stephen Broussard previously revealed that the show will have a "huge time travel component" and a "man on the run quality." The viewers will get to see "more human sides" of the character in the series.

Marvel has already released the first look on the show, which reveals the God of Mischief wearing a TVA uniform which sparked quite a few theories from fans.

Loki is set for release in the Spring of 2021 on Disney+.
