Doctor Strange Featurette Delves Into Its Characters, Night Nurse Storyline Debunked

Marvel has released a new character featurette to keep the Doctor Strange bandwagon alive. And with that comes a few more character insights from its cast.

We hear more about Rachel McAdams thoughts about how her role as Christine Palmer is affected as Stephen Strange undergoes his transformation.

"Stephen and Christine were involved in this, a relationship. And then, as his life starts to fall apart, the relationship becomes much, much more strained. Being able to work with all those amazing actors just raises the stakes."

Since the mention of McAdams' role as the ER doctor Christine Palmer, fans have started to speculate whether she will break out into her alter-ego Night Nurse.

These speculations were further driven by talks about how Marvel's Cinematic Universe may actually have an appearance for Night Nurse sometime later on, especially after Marvel's Daredevil series plans to cast Night Nurse had been changed to give way to its cinematic counterpart.

Marvel's Kevin Feige has been quick to dismiss this notion. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said a definite no—but was quite to add a "not yet" to it.

"I will say that that story line does not play into the movie. It's just as much fun for us as it is for the fans to speculate about that."

Perhaps we can see this somewhere along the lines of the Doctor Strange sequel? It's understandable that it won't be for the first movie, since we are essentially seeing the origin story of how Strange came to be the Sorcerer Supreme.

Doctor Strange will be out in theaters on Nov. 4.
