Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Will Have More Surprises Than You Might Think

It is an understatement to say that a lot of people are very excited to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, especially with the promise that it will have a lot of surprises as teased by the appearance of Patrick Stewart in the second trailer. While we've been hearing a lot of rumors and speculations about the characters that will show up for a cameo, nobody really knows about the extent of how many surprises the film has in store for us. Now, new information has surfaced which suggests that there will be more surprises than we might think.

Prominent film pundit and YouTuber John Campea recently shared on his show insider information that he learned from an email of his source regarding Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. First, he learned that the film is confirmed that it will not screen at the upcoming CinemaCon event later this month.

"What I was basically told was this. I cannot say who it is from. But it was that, ‘Yeah, they’re not going to be screening Doctor Strange 2 at CinemaCon.’," Campea revealed. "Sorry to tell everybody. But they said that it guaranteed that they are not going to show Doctor Strange 2 at CinemaCon."

However, Campea pointed out the highlight of the email that he received regarding how big the surprises the film has in store. He continued, "In the email, they went on to say this, they said, ‘There’s more security blah blah blah.’ But the key line in it was this: ‘There are more big surprises in Doctor Strange 2 than in Infinity War, Endgame, and Spider-Man: No Way Home combined.’"

Based on this information, it looks like there is a guarantee now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will have a lot of surprises. When we look back at the two aforementioned Avengers films, there were a lot of significant surprises, particularly with the return of some of the MCU characters in the past films. In the case of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were the big surprises that they didn't reveal in any of the marketing materials.

You can already imagine how many surprise cameos or appearances will Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have and it sounds like they are going all their way to explore the Marvel multiverse. With this information, we can pretty much say that all bets are off now regarding who we might see pop up and it's very possible that a lot of pre-MCU characters will make an appearance. Luckily, we only have a few weeks left before we find out the answer and this should add more excitement as we are anticipating its release.

The film's premise reads: "The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary."

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Sam Raimi directed the film while Kevin Feige serves as producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki's Michael Waldron.
